What is Homeopathic Medicine?
Homeopathy is a natural healing system of
medicine that covers a wide variety of diseases.
Homeopathy is based on two basic principles:
the law of similars and infinitesimal dose.
The law of similars in homeopathy instead
considers the symptoms of a disease as
unwanted, sees it as an attempt of the body to
cure itself. For this instead of suppressing the
symptoms homeopaths doctors are prescribing
drugs in a healthy organism would cause the
same symptoms (symptoms, not the disease)
in order thereby to further stimulate the healing powers of the body itself.
Infinitesimal dose. This is also considered a homeopathic pharmaceutical science. Substances used homeopathy derived from plants, minerals, animals, or chemicals are carefully dissolved in alcohol or water to reach a dose corresponding to one part in one million. Granules of sugar impregnated with the solution administered to the patient.
Homeopathic treatment focused on the overall picture of the patient's symptoms, not just the image of the disease they are suffering. This means that two individuals have the same disease can be two different remedies and therapeutic regimens. Because every person is treated as a whole and not as the different parts of a machine.
About Doctor Samuel Hahnemann
O Dr. Samuel Christian Frederic Hahnemann was born in 1755
in Meissen, Saxony in Germany. Create basic principles of science
he called "homeopathy" from Greek words "όμοιο" (similar) and
"πάθος" (passion).
He is called the Father of Experimental Pharmacology because he
was the first physician to prepare medicines in a specialized way;
proving them on healthy human beings, to determine how the
medicines acted to cure diseases. Before Hahnemann, medicines
were given on speculative indications, mainly on the basis of
authority without experimental verification.
O Dr. Hahnemann used the therapeutic law made known by the
phrase: "Similia Similibus Curentur" ("like cures like. ").
He is the ancestor of many modern therapies and had treated thousands of difficult and chronic disease across Europe that other doctors considered incurable. He became so famous that many doctors from Europe and America came close to him to train in homeopathy.
What is the "Classical" Homeopathy and how does it differ from the "modern" Homeopathy?
Classical Homeopathy is the type of homeopathy taught by the founder Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. O Dr. Hahnemann claimed that at a given time only one remedy should be administered to the patient what had the greatest similarity to the symptoms of the disease. The process to discover the correct homeopathic remedy is very tedious and requires great research by the attending physician. But the therapeutic effects are impressive and very satisfactory. If this unic homeopathic remedy for the patient not found, then there is no positive effect or there is only a very slight improvement of the situation. Many homeopathic doctors who do not know what is the right homeopathic medicine to administer or do not have time to get a detailed history, to study and make the appropriate research can give three, four and up to twenty different medicines simultaneously, hoping that the correct medicine is included within them. This is the non-classical form of homeopathy and of course does not give therapeutic effects given by the Classical Homeopathy.
What kind of diseases can be cured by homeopathy?
The therapeutic range of Homeopathic Medicine is very large. It applies to all diseases except those undoubtedly require surgery. But in surgery can offer substantial help, eg a fracture while the surgery the patient may get Homeopathic medicines that the fracture can be healed faster. Also before and after a surgery can be administered homeopathic medicines that are beneficial to wound healing and reduce pain. Homeopathic medicines have a positive effect in many disease states in various systems of the body, whether physical illnesses (eg digestive, respiratory, circulatory, skin etc.) or mental (eg stressful events, emotional disorders , behavioral disorders, sleep disorders, etc.). Homeopathy is effective in both chronic and acute diseases. Successfully applied not only in the adult but also to old age people and children regardless of age. Here we must emphasize that for homeopathy there are no diseases but patients. This follows from the fact that in Homeopathy the patient is treated as an indivisible unity interacting psychic, mental and physical functions. With homeopathy usually improves the overall patient body health and not just the symptom that led the patient to the doctor.
Homeopathy can offer significant help in emergency situations (eg asthma, allergic reactions, etc.) where the action of homeopathic medicine is very fast and efficient.
